Greentree Drive Build Moving Ahead

The First Nail Ceremony was held on August 2. with members of Decatur First United Methodist Church, one of the sponsors, driving the nail.  Other sponsors are Carlton Fields, Attorneys at Law, Pattillo Construction, Merrigan Foundation, and Progressive National Baptist Convention Inc.

The first nail was driven by John Beal (see the home page for his picture), and John Bolen pictured here, both experienced men with a hammer.

By the end of the day, the house was framed.

The Progressive National Baptist Convention, in town for a meeting, came out on Monday, August 4.  They enclosed the house with plywood.

A crew from Pattillo Construction volunteered on August 9 when they placed the roof trusses and decking.

Carlton Fields Attorneys at Law worked on August 16, nearly competing the shingles, and getting a lot done on the siding.
