Nuts & Bolts Newsletter: June 2025

Habitat for Humanity DeKalb recently broke ground on a new home in Stone Mountain, marking a major step forward in turning a once-damaged lot into a place where a family can thrive. The May 16 dedication brought together board members, volunteers, and community partners to celebrate the start of construction. With the framing phase underway, we’re grateful for the ongoing support that helps move this project forward.

This month’s newsletter also highlights opportunities to get involved, including our Sponsor a Stud initiative, where a $5 donation supports the framing of the new home. We’re also inviting community members to share what “home” means to them—a simple but powerful way to reflect on why this work matters.
