“I Feel Like I’m an American”

December 13, 2015 the Karlar Family received their home. Rebecca Karlar is originally from Liberia. She and her family moved to the United States 5 years ago and is now a U.S. Citizen. She has 2 sons, a daughter, and a granddaughter. Rebecca’s daughter remains in Liberia, and her sons and granddaughter currently reside with her.

Rebecca is excited to be a homeowner in our program. When asked about her feelings toward her new homeownership, she responded, “It is good knowing that I have a safe place to rest and live.”
