What We Do
Aging In Place (AIP)
Habitat DeKalb helps older adults preserve their homes and maintain their independence, tailored to each homeowner’s lifestyle. We assist with critical repairs and modifications to address health, safety, and accessibility issues.
Homeownership
We partner with first time home buyers to help them achieve successful homeownership. Approved applicants can buy a new or rehabilitated home with a zero-equivalent or low-interest 30-year loan.
Veteran AIP
AIP is also available to all military veterans with an honorable or general discharge. We collaborate with human services organizations to assess individual needs and provide critical home repairs, modifications, and community services.
Financial Peace University
Learn essential skills to manage finances effectively, covering budgeting, saving, credit management, and homeownership. Gain the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed financial decisions, breaking cycles of poverty and securing their families' futures.
Here’s what we’re up to in DeKalb County with the help of so many volunteers and supporters like you.
