Get Involved

Give back to your community by getting involved with Habitat DeKalb. Build and repair homes, join our Carpenter's Club, support fundraisers, or help with marketing and outreach.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Your donation builds more than just a home. It establishes the foundation local families need to improve their circumstances. You can invest in local families by making a monthly or one-time gift, becoming a corporate sponsor, partnering with a gift in kind, donating a vehicle, shopping at Kroger, and more. Get involved and give back to your community.

Help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Join us on our build or repairs sites. With each hammered nail, a DeKalb family is able to build strength, stability and independence. When you get involved by volunteering, you can take pride knowing your contribution has made a tangible impact.

SPONSOR IMAGE

Sponsors are the foundation of our work and can be an individual or organization.  A sponsor provides funding for the expenses associated with constructing or rehabbing a Habitat home. Learn more about our sponsorship opportunities.

While scheduled Habitat projects happen regularly, we also host special events such as the Blue Jeans, BBQ, & Blueprints Festival and spirit nights. Make lasting memories with new friends and old – and make a difference in DeKalb.

Forward our emails and events with friends, family, and colleagues to raise awareness and amplify our impact. Subscribe to our monthly newsletter, share our website content, and tag us on Facebook and Instagram @habitatdekalbga. This helps us reach more people on search engines and social media.

We can’t meet our community’s overwhelming need for affordable housing through building alone. We also need to address the underlying policies and systems that hinder access to housing such as "a combination of increased land/property and construction costs as well extended time and costs for DeKalb to get projects approved." Solving DeKalb’s home affordability challenge will take all of us working together.
