Donate Property
DeKalb Habitat welcomes a gift of land with or without a house. Throughout our 31 year history, we have received vacant lots, lots with houses, and lots with burned out houses. All donors receive a tax deduction for these gifts. Contact us with the property address, date of construction and taxes owed, if any.
Carpenter's Club
The Carpenter’s Club is a way for you to make monthly contributions. Regular contributions that help us plan for the future. Whether your monthly donation is $10 or $500 a month, you can make a big difference to hard-working families in DeKalb County. Further, it allows us to keep you, a member of the Habitat family, connected to our mission. On the Donate page, select the option to make your contribution "Monthly".
Donate Stocks or Bonds
A charitable gift of stocks or bonds provides an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others. A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation. In addition to helping Habitat, you may diversify away from low-basis, long-term holdings into other assets that will better suit your current needs.
