Get ready for Giving Tuesday

Coming soon
We hope you are about to enjoy some time seeing folks that are important in your life, or maybe finally get that alone time you need.

Either way, we hope you can reflect on the blessings in your life and be thankful for the home that you’re in.

We are thankful for you as a supporter of DeKalb Habitat.

And, we have two sets of great news!

On the fundraising front, while we were not able to get 25 brand new donors to donate to Habitat Dekalb last week, the community showed great generosity raising $1235 in just one week. Our generous matching donor was grateful to see that, and went ahead and contributed the $500 match donation!

This brings us to a current amount raised of $2,335 of our $10,000 goal.

On the home build front, our construction volunteers have been hard at work. The lot is newly cleared and graded and is ready for the first inspection! See the before and after photos above.

Next Tuesday is the official Giving Tuesday that will end our #GAGives Groundbreaking Phase campaign. We still greatly need your help to reach our goal.

>> Here’s an idea to bring your family or friends closer together this holiday… share a stud sponsorship! You can:Click here to donate $100 or more to sponsor a stud, and then split the cost with your group (i.e. cash, or using a payment app).

Or click here to send your own stud Fundraiser Campaign – it’s already set up for you once you click ‘Fundraise’ and sign up! All you do is send or post the link to your friends and they can contribute.

You can then decide what your group message will be, and we’ll reach out to you for that. Your family and friends will appreciate the chance to give back this week by doing more together.

Whatever your plans are this week, we hope you had a safe and healthy Thanksgiving!

Sharon Steele,
Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity DeKalb

P.S. Here’s the link again. Save this email, even set a reminder in your phone, and see how many folks can join you in a stud sponsorship.
