The Atlanta Foundation Supports Our Aging In Place Program

The Atlanta Foundation has awarded Habitat DeKalb with $7,500 to support our Aging in Place Program (AIP). AIP is designed to address the issues preventing older adults from aging safely by providing affordable home repairs. We do things like install grab bars in bathrooms, build wheelchair accessible ramps, widen doorways, upgrade toilets to be ADA compliant, repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, fix structural issues, roofing, and more.

We’ve served many so far but still have over 500 homeowners on our waitlist who need help.

Like The Atlanta Foundation, you can also make a difference for older homeowners in DeKalb County. Consider giving a $10 gift to help older adults afford the repairs they need to make their homes a safer place to live.
