The Home Depot Foundation: Building Safer Homes for Those Who Served
For many veterans in DeKalb County, staying safely housed depends on timely, critical home repairs. The Home Depot Foundation recognizes that strong communities are built by caring for the people who have served them, and their continued partnership with Habitat for Humanity DeKalb reflects that commitment in meaningful, practical ways.
Rather than a one-time contribution, this partnership has focused on long-term housing stability—helping qualified veterans remain in their homes through essential repairs that improve safety, accessibility, and durability. It’s an approach rooted in respect, responsibility, and lasting impact.
Supporting Veterans Through Home Repair
This year, The Home Depot Foundation awarded Habitat DeKalb $150,000 to support home repairs for qualified veterans across DeKalb County. This funding will allow Habitat DeKalb to address urgent repair needs—helping veterans live more safely, independently, and with dignity in the homes they’ve earned.
We are deeply grateful for The Home Depot Foundation’s continued investment in veterans and housing stability. Their commitment helps turn resources into real improvements—strengthening homes, honoring service, and ensuring veterans can remain rooted in their communities for years to come.
