Playhouse Build is a unique opportunity that allows sponsors to partner with Habitat DeKalb to build a playhouse for a local family in need—providing children with a safe place to play and imagine what home means to them. It's designed to teach young children the pride and joy of homeownership.

Engage with your employees, boost company morale, and build your corporate social responsibility standards. Teams work together on tasks such as putting up the walls, shingling the roof, and attaching the playhouse trim.

Show off your creative skills by decorating each playhouse to fit the likes and interests of the child they've been paired with. So, show up and show out with your most creative designs!!

Playhouse Builds not only give children a space to call their own, but the funds raised directly support building more affordable homes in DeKalb.
How it works?
Teams of any kind can build playhouses – corporate, faith, youth, school, community, and even friend groups. Each playhouse is pre-cut and takes 6-8 hours to build and paint with the help of 8-10 volunteers. Several playhouses can be built at once to engage more people.
Revenue from this program is used to fund the construction of affordable Habitat homes in DeKalb County. The sponsorship also covers the cost of building and decorating your playhouse.
