Home is more than walls and a roof — it’s where families gather, grow, and find peace. Yet, for too many in DeKalb, safe and stable housing feels out of reach. That’s where you come in.

When you give to Habitat for Humanity DeKalb, you’re not just making a donation — you’re laying a foundation for stability, dignity, and opportunity. Every dollar builds hope: repairing a veteran’s home so they can live safely, installing grab bars for a senior who wants to age in place, or helping a hardworking family like Shantescia’s step into a home they can finally call their own.

This Georgia Gives season, your generosity makes real change right here in our community. Together, we’re not just building houses — we’re building a stronger DeKalb, one home, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

Join us. Every gift makes a difference. Every gift builds more than just a home.

Congratulations On Your New Home!

After exploring traditional mortgage options, Shantescia realized that the credit, savings, and down payment requirements made homeownership nearly impossible at this stage in her life. That’s when she learned about Habitat for Humanity DeKalb.

Now, through her own hard work and commitment, Shantescia is turning her dream into reality. This journey represents not just a house, but the opportunity to build strength, stability, and independence for her family.

Stone Mountain – In Progress

At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Stone Mountain stood a vacant lot—empty for more than 20 years. The home that once stood there had burned down, leaving behind only a foundation and the memories of what used to be.

Now that vacant lot in has been transformed into a symbol of restoration, perseverance, and hope fulfilled.
