Long-time partners help us build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter
We are fortunate at Habitat for Humanity – DeKalb to have many long-time, committed partners that donate and volunteer with us on a regular basis. These organizations help ensure that we are able to keep building, rehabilitating, and repairing homes for deserving families.
Paragon Bank is one such partner. Paragon Bank is based out of Memphis, TN and their Small Business Capital Group is based here in Atlanta. Paragon has a program called ACTS (Assisting the Community through Service) that grants 40 hours to each team member to volunteer with their favorite charitable organizations.
Lucky for us, we are one of their favorite charitable organizations! Paragon Bank has participated in a Habitat DeKalb work day each year since 2015 with the exception of 2020 due to COVID-19.
This year the team brought twenty volunteers to help us out. Six coming in from Memphis and fourteen that were here in the Atlanta office. Of the twenty volunteers, ten worked on exterior painting of a soon-to-be new home for a partner family.
The other half visited two other work sites to help with clean-up. The Paragon team once again made a tremendous impact in just one day! We have so much gratitude for their continued support.

Everyone looks forward to this time of year where we come together to give back to the community as a team. This year was extra special since most of us had not seen each other in over a year!
