Big Max’s House Restored: A Haven for Family, Friends, and Laughter
Herbert, known as “Big Max,” is a beloved family man who recently faced a challenge when a leak damaged a crucial floor joist in his home. With the help of dedicated State Farm volunteers through Habitat DeKalb, his home was restored with essential repairs, including fixing the joist, reinforcing handrails, and installing grab bars for added safety and comfort as he and his wife approach their 80s. Herbert expressed deep gratitude for the kindness and support he received, noting how the volunteers made him feel valued.
