Please Note: We Do Not Accept Court-Ordered Community Service
At this time, Habitat for Humanity DeKalb is unable to accommodate court-ordered community service hours. Due to limited volunteer opportunities, we are prioritizing individual and group volunteers who are not fulfilling court mandates. We understand this may be disappointing, and we encourage you to check with other nearby Habitat ReStores or affiliates, which may have more opportunities available for court-ordered service.

- Generally long-term skilled volunteers capable of managing tasks and leading small groups
- Regular
- Skilled or unskilled volunteers serving under the guidance of Gray Ghosts
What to expect:
- Complete the Liability Waiver
- (Confirmation email contains info for the trainings)
- Complete 4 safety trainings
- Receive welcome email and calendar link

Groups
Support a project through a funded volunteer day designed for companies, churches, and civic groups.
Sponsor a Volunteer Day - $3,000:
- Home Builds
- Join a team to construct a safe, quality home for a local family.
- Home Repairs
- Help seniors and veterans stay in their homes safely by providing essential repairs and improvements.
Build a Playhouse for a Local Family
- Playhouse Builds
- Design and build a colorful 6x6 ft playhouse, giving children a space to play and imagine.
- The Playhouse Olympics
- Join a friendly competition of 5-7 teams building playhouses during our Blue Jeans, BBQ, and Blue Prints Festival on the 4th Saturdays of April
